Before George Lucas rings his lawyer, he should be aware that Dodo Juice don’t legally refer to the Supernatural Wash Mitt by its colloquial and popular nickname: ‘The Wookie’s Fist’, but it’s not difficult to see where the name has come from. I’ve even heard rumours that the mitt has been known to eat lesser wash mitts, drink half your bucket in one go and is being entered in this year’s Crufts…
As the holy grail of wash mitts, the Supernatural Wash Mitt has a lot to live up to but thankfully it never disappoints. An ultra-soft wash mitt with a massively deep pile, so if wash mitts are your thing then this is the daddy.
Looking after your Wookie’s Fist
Some have been known to spend more time grooming their Supernatural Wash Mitt than they do their own pets (or even themselves) but I would argue it’s equally as important. Made from natural sheepskin, a soggy, unloved mitt can rot. Just follow these steps:
- Comb the mitt before use, as debris like grass seeds can be caught in the long hair – use a metal pet comb or brush
- After use, rinse under a warm tap to remove as much debris and dirt as possible – do not machine wash (if you must, make sure the mitt is in a pillow case to prevent the long pile being caught).
- Use a dedicated wool detergent if the mitt is very dirty
- Allow to dry NATURALLY with the cuff propped open (section of neck of a clean plastic bottle, perhaps) – DO NOT TUMBLE DRY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES – do not place on hot radiators… you don’t want the mitt to completely dry out and become brittle
- Comb with the pet comb or brush to get the coat fluffy again
The world’s priciest wash mitt.

Mellow Yellow isn’t normally the name that springs to mind when you want an alloy wheel cleaner that can shift baked on brake dust but in this case looks, and names, can be deceiving.
Knowing that your alloy wheels are quite possibly the most important thing to you after the car itself and knowing the lengths you’ll go to to avoid parking near kerbs or driving over potholes, Dodo Juice decided that too many rival wheel cleaners out there were harming the lacquer and paint of wheels and that they could do a better job. From experience, the mad scientists on Dodo Island can indeed do a better job and I think Mellow Yellow is further proof.
By targeting the brake dust itself, Mellow Yellow really gets to work on brake dust and leaves the wheels in pristine condition. Whilst designed to only munch through ferrous materials (brake dust), Mellow Yellow is still strong so should be properly rinsed off, especially where brake pads are concerned.
Mellow Yellow comes in a ready to use spray bottle and a concentrated (dilute 1:1 with water) refill. I’ve heard great results can also be had with diluting Mellow Yellow in use – making it last even longer!

The funny thing is, people have sold themselves on the idea that acidic cleaners are bad for wheels – wrong! It’s lazy chemists knocking up extremely caustic alkali cleaners that started this rumour mill grinding and Dodo Juice are keen to sing the praised of “targeted acid” technology cleaners… just like Mellow Yellow.

When it comes to words uttered by Dad’s across the country – from the comfort of armchairs and surrounded by the smoke of smouldering woodbines, “get us a cup of tea love” is truly set in stone. Close on it’s heels is the wisdom of always using the right tool for the job.
And it’s with these words ringing in the ears of those at Dodo HQ that the dedicated Dodo Juice wheel mitt was born. Annoyed at having to dirty microfibre cloths or negotiate an alloy wheel’s spokes with a sponge, the Captain Crevice changes all that. Continue Reading

The new insanely-concentrated Dodo Juice Supernatural shampoo has landed!
With so many weak car shampoos currently available, Dodo Juice got out the lab coats and have set to work to create quite possibly the ultimate in concentrated car shampoos. According to Dodo’s Dom, some shampoos shamefully mix 1:100 with water or 1:400 for ‘concentrated’ versions.
Diluting at 1:1500 with water, you’ll only need 3ml per 5 litres of water!
Knowing that customers would rather pay for product than excess packaging, I think Dodo Juice have done the right thing by highly concentrating Supernatural into minimal bottles. Diluting at 1:1500 with water, you’ll only need 2ml per 3 litres of water! There’s also potential for cost savings by using less per wash, even though Supernatural may appear a bit more expensive at face value.

The long-awaited Dodo Juice shampoo is here. Born to be Mild has been specially designed to be wax friendly – only removing dirt and grime whilst leaving your previously applied layers of wax on the car.
Born to be Mild is pH-neutral with great foaming and high lubricity (it’s super slippery basically) to help prevent dirt being dragged across paintwork during contact washing.
Made in the UK, it wouldn’t be a Dodo Juice product if it didn’t have a suitably fruity fragrance, so this time you get a lovely hint of peach.
